“We think it's important to create a meeting place for people who are engaged in forest issues,” says Lina Bergström, Director of FSC Sweden. “With the new office we also want to demonstrate that it is possible to build and furnish sustainably, and that certification schemes makes this choice easier.”
Certification has been important in the development of the office. Kinnarps has donated FSC certified furniture, which is now part of their standard selection. The FSC certified floors were sourced from both Södra Interiör and Kährs, and the Chilean wood material in the top layer is both FSC and Fairtrade certified. In addition to furniture and furnishings, electricity supplier Bra Miljöval carries the Good Environmental Choice label, and coffee used in the office carries the KRAV (Fairtrade) label.
